Company History

Founded in 1999, RentPayment is the largest electronic payments processor in the multifamily industry. Through the vision of founders Tom Villante, Chairman of RentPayment, and Matt Golis, CEO, RentPayment was born. The idea was to create a payment processing company that for the first time would allow property managers to accept credit cards and E-checks for rent payments and move-in expenses, making it easier for properties to close leases and collect rent on-time. In 2005, RentPayment acquired eRentPayer, an electronic rent payment company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today, RentPayment's processing platform has expanded to support check scanning with Check 21 for payments collected onsite in addition to those processed online.

RentPayment is unrivaled in its level of experience, technology and understanding of the specific needs of the industry. RentPayment's headquarters is located in the heart of the financial district in San Francisco, California, just across from the landmark Transamerica Pyramid. RentPayment has additional offices in Salt Lake City (UT), Santa Monica (CA), and Santa Barbara (CA).
